WELCOME

Lumier Weddings was born in 2014 when Reinhard and Melissa said their own vows on the beach in Paternoster where they fell in love with not only each other - but with love itself, and story telling of the people who do. Today - almost 11 years, 1000 weddings and 5 kids (two sets of twins) later - we still live for telling the stories we document.

Reinhard is a self taught film maker who believes that every film needs to be a beautiful cinematic masterpiece that will remain timeless, and Melissa studied photography and comes from the old-school film era - where every image has to count.

Before anything else, we want to get to know you. Connecting with our couples is at the heart of what we do—it’s how we create meaningful, authentic stories.

Our first meeting is all about understanding who you are and what matters most to you. We’ll walk through your wedding day vision, explore your style, and answer any questions you might have. And if you’re not sure where to start, —we’re here to guide you every step of the way. This is the beginning of a relationship that goes beyond just taking photos & filming a video. We want you to feel completely at ease with us as we prepare to capture one of the most important days of your life.

With Lumier your booking doesn’t have a limited amount of hours like other photographers might offer, - we feel a wedding is a story that needs to be told from start to end of formalities - so we cover everything from the dress up to the evening dancing. We do however set up a wedding day timeline for you and finetune it together - which becomes your wedding day cover with us.

Booking done - now what?

Let’s celebrate with your engagement shoot!

We see engagement sessions as a discovery session —where we get to know each other to create something magical. You can share a few inspiration images so we can get a feel for your vibe and start shaping a concept that’s true to you. But we don’t just show up with a camera—we’re with you all the way. From choosing the perfect location to helping you plan your outfits, we’ll guide you through it all. We could even help you pick the right outfits. By the end, you’ll not only have gorgeous images and/or film—you’ll be even more excited for what’s to come on your wedding day.

In addition, on booking you receive a confirmation email with a link that allows you to book your online timeline meeting with us.

PROCESS

We arrive ahead of schedule, giving us time to ease into the rhythm of your day. It’s all part of making sure everything flows smoothly from the very start. But for us, this day is about more than just photo & film. We’re here for everyone—whether it’s pinning a boutonnière, calming pre-ceremony nerves, or offering a spare tissue. We connect not only with you, but with your family, your friends, and every guest, because when trust is built, magic happens in front of the lens. More than anything, we’re your support team, your quiet calm, your loudest cheerleaders—and we’re here to make this experience just as extraordinary as your story that we create.
